OUR SCHOOL

The Health Nursing School, a unit of IMMRHSSN is under the umbrella of Institute of Rural Health Service and Youth Welfare Society. It is located 15 km away from the city of Dimapur, Nagaland. With increasing demand for qualified nurses globally and locally in the healthcare field, it was felt the need for opening a nursing school which will provide quality education and impart quality training and skills to become a fully qualified nurse in the year 2014 with 20 students, a two years course - Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery (ANM), which was upgraded to three years Diploma course of General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) course. The school had the first Chairman Late Er. S.Alem ( Founder of Health Nursing School) and it was inaugurated by Dr. Ditsolo K. Mero, former Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Dimapur.

CHAIRMANS MESSAGE

Worldwide, Nurses’ represents a vital element in the Healthcare system. The role of nurses’ figures prominently in prospering and maintaining link between individual, families, communities and rest of the healthcare delivery system. The highest priority for scaling up healthcare coverage is at the community level through “close–to–client” services that can be delivered by nurses.

The Health Nursing school aims to deliver quality education and curriculums learning programs, at the door step of the learner to develop Nurses’ to keep up the pace of changing health environment.

Therefore, I welcome and wish happy learning to individuals seeking to further their education in Nursing profession.

And thus, it is our endeavor to help students to acquire the best knowledge, skills and attitude relevant to produce professionals of the future.
